A two-sided marketplace for premium backlinks: escrow, automated outreach, verified placement tracking, and Stripe Connect payouts to portal owners.
The problem: links negotiated over email
Agencies were negotiating placements manually over email and tracking them in spreadsheets, losing roughly 20% of the value to miscommunication — wrong anchor, wrong URL, placement that quietly disappeared a month later.
Link building is a supply chain problem wearing a marketing costume. Everything that goes wrong with it goes wrong at the handoff.
A two-sided marketplace with escrow
We built it as a proper marketplace: escrow so neither side is exposed, automated outreach in place of the email thread, and verified placement tracking so a link that vanishes is visible rather than assumed.
It launched with a curated catalogue of vetted high-DR portals, because a marketplace with no supply on day one is just a form.
Payouts make or break a marketplace
Stripe Connect handles payouts to portal owners. That is the part that quietly decides whether a two-sided marketplace survives: publishers who get paid predictably come back, and publishers who do not, do not.
