Approach

Forward-engineering instead of shelf software: go deep into one operator's processes, own the solution end-to-end, and build one connected brain — tool-calling agents over a shared core that scales to the next operator without the technical debt.

The problem: hospitality runs on shelf software

Operators run on shelf PMS tools sold the same way to everyone. Data sits siloed across booking channels, email, and accounting. Teams grow to absorb repetitive manual work. The knowledge that actually runs the portfolio stays trapped in a handful of people's heads.

Shelf software is sold identically to every operator, and each operator's real process gets wedged in around the edges. That gap — between how the software thinks the day runs and how the day actually runs — is where the manual work comes from.

The approach is the opposite of generalise-first. Go deep into one operator's processes, own the solution end to end, and build one connected brain: tool-calling agents over a shared core that scales to the next operator without dragging the technical debt along.

Harold OS is built operator-first, with a design partner running a multi-million-euro aparthotel portfolio. The founding operator opened up their entire stack — bookings, email, accounting, channel manager — to the platform, which is what makes agents useful rather than decorative.

How the engagement runs

A dedicated full-time Brigada team ships weekly with the founding operator. Same engineers from kickoff onward — not a rotating bench, and not a ticket queue with a spec written somewhere else.

We work from Prishtinë on Central European Time, which is a full working day of overlap with the UK and EU, and afternoons with the US East Coast.

In August 2026 the Vector Guest team — Harold, Matthieu, Erick and Andre — flew into the Prishtinë office for two days of product work. Whiteboards, a lot of coffee, and the kind of argument about a data model that never quite lands the same way over a video call.

The stack

Laravel on the back. Tool-calling LLM agents over a shared core. Retrieval-augmented generation against a vector database, so the agents answer from the operator's own records instead of guessing. LangFuse for tracing and evaluating what the agents actually did. Deployed on Laravel Cloud.

Deliberately boring underneath the interesting part, because boring is what we can still debug at speed in year three. The model is rarely the hard part — evaluation is.
